One month rarely justifies a major decision. Before raising tuition, cutting a position, or closing a room, look at several months:

• Is enrollment in that room consistently low, or was it a seasonal dip, such as Pre-K children leaving for kindergarten in August?
• Are costs rising steadily, or did one month have an unusual bill?
• Is the issue in one room or across the program?
