The value of this exercise depends entirely on the week being a normal one. Avoid scheduling your count during a week that includes a holiday, a staff in-service day, or a K-12 school closure in your area — attendance during those weeks is not representative, and building an analysis on it will point you toward changes your center does not actually need. Pick a week that reflects how your center runs on an ordinary basis.
