Membership Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: April 27, 2026

By enrolling in the Maryland Shared Services Alliance (hereafter “MSSA”), your organization agrees to the following terms and conditions and acknowledges the privacy policy. Please read carefully.

1. Membership Term

  • Membership in MSSA is valid for one (1) year from the date of enrollment when joining at a paid level. FREE Memberships are valid through the date as advertised.
  • Paid membership automatically renews at the end of the membership term unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
  • Membership is non-cancelable and non-refundable once a membership term begins.
  • MSSA reserves the right to modify or update benefits at its discretion.

2. Non-Transferability

  • Membership is held by the enrolling organization, not any individual staff member.
  • Membership cannot be transferred to another organization, regardless of changes in ownership.

3. Authorized Use

Only current staff employed by the enrolled organization may access MSSA benefits.Unauthorized sharing, distribution, or resale of any MSSA benefits, materials, or access credentials with individuals or entities external to the enrolled organization is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to, sharing of:

  • Access credentials or links to member-only portals, platforms, or resources
  • Copyrighted materials, digital downloads, or printables from the resource library for unauthorized distribution or commercial use.
  • Purchasing discount access, promo codes, or logins for Amazon Business, Lakeshore Learning, or other affiliated vendors
  • Job board logins or any feature of the Maryland Early Childhood Career Hub
  • Any other benefit, tool, or access provided by MSSA

    Sharing membership materials or benefits with external individuals or organizations may result in immediate termination of membership without refund.

4. Organizational Responsibility

The member organization is responsible for:

  • Ensuring internal compliance with these terms by all authorized users.
  • Managing user accounts within their team appropriately, including prompt deactivation of accounts for departing staff.
  • Reporting any known or suspected misuse or unauthorized access to MSSA administrators without undue delay.

5. Amendments

MSSA reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be communicated via email to the primary contact on file or posted on the MSSA website. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

6. Termination

MSSA reserves the right to immediately terminate any membership for violation of these terms or for misuse of Alliance resources or benefits. Terminated members will not receive a refund of membership dues.

By enrolling in MSSA, your organization acknowledges that it has read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
